Mercedes to Cut Petroleum Out of Lineup by 2015 →
Hmm… I feel like putting a reminder in my calendar for seven years from now to see if this has happened. I hope it does.
This video confused me when I was young. Because I was not familiar with the original “Walk This Way,” the entire concept of what was happening in the video was lost on me.
Now, I’m amazed at how clever it is.

Any lawful device: 40 years after the Carterfone... →
It’s always been my understanding that back in the day, AT&T regulated the devices that could be used on their lines and today, just about anything with a plug can be used.
What was not clear to me, was how the precedent changed. This article discusses a landmark decision by the FCC to allow consumers to utilize any device on the AT&T network.
Fascinating.
OH MY GOD IT'S THE POOP SIGN →
Dear Santa,
This year for Christmas I only want one thing—a poop sign to hang over the baby’s diaper bin.
Thank you-

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal... →
Obviously, don’t read it if you haven’t seen the movie yet!
I think this is funny, but I also enjoyed the film. Why would I watch an Indiana Jones movie and nitpick? It was fun!

Scouts tell of escaping tornado
From about 2:00 in:
Reporter Anne Currie: I know you said something very interesting. You said, ‘If it had to happen it is good it happened at a Boy Scout Camp.’ Why would you, at the age of 13, say such a thing?
Boy Scout Ethan Hession, 13:
Because we were prepared. We knew that shock could happen. We knew that we needed to place tourniquets on...

A fun review of Pixar and the colors that they use in their movies. Best bit of trivia: the company that would become Pixar did work on Young Sherlock Holmes.
Of course I immediately went and added Young Sherlock Holmes to my Netflix queue.

It's solar power's time to shine →
Not a very interesting article. It’s talking about Solar Thermal Energy as an alternative energy source, which IS interesting, but what’s changed? I learned about STE when I was in fifth or sixth grade (around 1990). STE was touted as the only real way to harvest solar energy. Here we are twenty years later and it’s still a great idea, but only an idea. What needs to happen to...

If you don’t listen to You Look Nice Today, you’re missing out. This is THE reason to start listening to podcasts. Every episode has me laughing. It’s completely inane, very smart and the delivery is completely straight. It’s not news, it’s not tech, it’s simply whatever the team wants to chat about.
